3 simple morning rituals for everyone for a good start of the day

This blog post answers the following questions:

In this post, I will show you 3 simple morning rituals and I will tell you why a good start of your day is so important. You will learn how to develop these morning rituals on the example of my morning habits developed over the years. To design my morning rituals, I largely based on the morning habits of successful people.

3 simple morning rituals — why is it worth it?

I can tell you right away, yes — it makes sense and really works well. I will not present you here complicated exercises and strange rituals to perform every morning. However, I will show you very simple and fast ways to start each day in a good mood with an attitude to action. You don’t have to take long walks or do very complicated things — just take care of the basic needs of your body and you’ll get positive mindset for the coming day. This will change your thinking throughout all day, and this will lead to real actions and change your life in the long term.

My morning rituals take about 10 minutes and consist of 3 simple and pleasant tasks, which are always performed immediately after waking up. Here are my 3 simple morning rituals:

  1. Hydration

Right after waking up, your body is very dehydrated after the night. Your body then demands fluids and the first thing you should do is to supply your body with water. I always drink a minimum glass of water with lemon juice. It is worth adding lemon juice to the water, because then you supply your organism with a dose of vitamin C and the lemon water tastes just much better.

  1. Simple exercises

Once you hydrated your body, you have to warm it up. The water itself will not wake you up well and therefore you need very simple exercises that will get you on your feet. You don’t have to go running or go to the gym. The purpose of simple morning exercises is to get every part of your body moving — see the video below where I show the simple exercises that I do every day. These exercises will make you almost immediately wake up and feel a willingness to act.

  1. Motivation (affirmations) + your goals + day plan

Once your body is hydrated and your muscles warmed up, it’s time for a little incentive gymnastics for your head. I strongly encourage you to purchase a planner and an empty notebook. Save your tasks for each week in the planner (I highly recommend you get one with a weekly schedule so that you always make your plans weekly). In a separate notebook, save your long-term goals and motivating sentences, i.e. affirmations. You can also save your business ideas in this notebook as well. I always have a planner and a notebook with me.

Affirmations — these are nothing but sentences that motivate you to act and positively encourage you to live. I write my affirmations and regularly add new ones all the time — sometimes I hear something smart from someone on YouTube, sometimes I write myself a quote from a book, sometimes I even write down my thoughts. It is very important that affirmations work on you and motivate you to act. These may even be the simplest sentences, like “Don’t give up!”. It may even be a morning prayer lifting up the spirit. I encourage you to work on your favourite affirmations on your own, but of course you can borrow them from someone. See my clip about the morning rituals where I show some of my affirmations.

Your goals — having goals is the best motivation in the long term. Goals give meaning to our daily routines. Affirmations, on the other hand, are a brilliant instant motivation. However, well-established goals will allow you to persist over a long period of time in your activities. In your notebook, save your goals for the next year and split them into stages. I know this may not be easy, and maybe you won’t be able to do it right away. However, once you have those goals written down, read them every morning and you’ll be surprised how easily you achieve them.

Plan of the day — in a planner with a weekly schedule, write down the most important task to be performed every day. Every morning, check what you have to do on a given day and note it in your planner. Of course, it is best to do it earlier and have your tasks written down in advance. Then, your every day will be ordered, and you will always do what you have to do. It is easier to get done well-planned tasks. This way, your life will then go in a good and planned direction every day.

3 simple morning rituals take only 10 minutes a day

All these steps should not take you more than 10 minutes each day. Consciously starting your day in this way will provide you with a positive start and direct you towards your goals and dreams because you will begin the day full of energy, keeping your goals and dreams in front of you.
