My short story with publishing books
When I published my first book, I was frantically afraid to invest any money, because I thought it was something bad at the time. It was only after my first book turned out to be a flop (I did self-publishing without any training) that I realized I was doing something wrong. I decided to invest in an online course, which taught me step by step how to publish books on Amazon Kindle and then I released more works — this time using the knowledge of those who are better than me.
I published 2 books and one of them became a bestseller on Amazon. This book alone in the first weeks reimbursed me all the costs of the course and other investments (it was 2016), and this one book earns for me to this day. I published a great product, gained my first passive income from Amazon and the knowledge I could use afterwards. The cost of several hundred dollars for the course have been paid back several hundred times until today and over time, I increased the range of my products and I learned more. This one little investment has literally changed my life.

The most important thing is to start investing in yourself today. Every investment is profitable only over time and often after many years. Don’t be fooled by quick money and possible shortcuts. Invest in yourself starting from today, do it gradually and you will see that after time the effects will become visible. It is about any kind of investment in yourself — it can be a good book, training, online course, taking time to learn from others, sports in the morning or just working on your own business after hours. Investment is something that does not give you a profit immediately, but if you do something regularly then over time the benefits are increasing.
There is always a good time, but as you get older, it will be harder and harder
The older you become, the harder it will be for you to develop and change your beliefs. If you’re twenty or thirty years old, you can change a lot in your life. With age, your beliefs on different topics will become increasingly difficult to change and it will be harder for you to change your life on different levels. Note that older people often find it difficult to admit younger people are right in some aspects, because the older you are, the less open you are to new things, to new truths and views. Unfortunately, we live in an ever-changing world and we need to learn new things and change our beliefs on certain topics.
Of course, you can change yourself and your life at any age, and I encourage you to do so. Just because you are forty or fifty, it doesn’t mean at all that you cannot change your profession, eating habits, open a business online or change your partner. Obviously, you can, but it may be a little harder for you.
Regardless of your age, always remember that investing in yourself and your knowledge is worthwhile. Growth, learning, and taking action bring us the greatest happiness and fulfilment in life.
