How did I become a waiter

How did I become a waiter in Cracow

My story — How did I become a waiter in Cracow?

How did I become a waiter in Cracow and how did my transformation look like? I will tell you here my story, which I hope will show you that, despite many odds, you can change your life. If you’re looking for some motivation, this article for you.

The year 2012, which was a hard time, and my move to Cracow

My adventure began in 2012 and 2013, when I decided to go from my family city of Oświecim to a city located nearby, Cracow. At that time, I was in poor mental and life condition in general. I had a lot of failures in my life. I closed my company, which involved recording occasional events. I could not keep my place in any of the roles I have chosen afterwards. I tried my hand as a truck driver and as an intern at a larger corporation. None of these options was for me, and these adventures ended up with nothing more than me feeling resigned and sad.

By the end of 2012, I was already in quite a bit of trouble in life. At that time I lost the rest of my strength and will to live. My ex-fiancée decided to go abroad (I don’t blame her at all), and many people around me didn’t particularly know what to do with me. I also went to a psychologist with hope for help, but there was very fast conclusion that there was no money to continue my treatment.

As I was then after my eyes surgery (eye correction), my eyes were “out of service” for several weeks. Back then, I listened to an excellent audiobook, which was about a lost boyfriend and about a rich garden who advised him.  The book was a collection of cool motivational and business tips that was presented with a simple history. I was very much encouraged by this book (in the audio version) to act and write down my goals. Disregarding the hopeless situation and lack of faith on my part, I decided to write down these goals. My goal was to go to Cracow, find a job and play in a band (I was a musician and played a bass guitar).

Over time, I’ve changed these goals a little and set music aside, because I didn’t see my future in this. But after renting a small apartment and having no savings, I decided to set more ambitious targets. Below you can see a list of my goals from the beginning of 2013:

my goals
My Goals 2017

2019 Update — not all goals were achieved on time, but in 2019 I achieved my goals excluding the goal number two (first things first). However, the goal number four was no longer my goal as soon as I gave up playing music. I do not know if what I have achieved is a great job for you, but please remember that I had the largest black dog, I had no job or prospects. I have created a solid business and passive income, I built my financial cushion higher than I intended, and the goal number one was achieved faultlessly. As you can see, writing down your goals makes sense.

Year 2013 and the beginning of changes

The beginning of 2013 has not brought about great changes, but the goals I have set seem to have worked for me, because I kept doing something to achieve them. I was looking for a job in Cracow and my foothold. At some point, I got a job and worked in a warehouse in a clothing sorting company. ‘Now or never’, I thought. I rented a flat and moved to Cracow. Unfortunately, after a few days it turned out that I was not needed there any more. I was left with a rented flat and without work. After a few days of searching for another job, I decided to go to this company again and I was accepted back. I had worked there company until spring, for a few months, until I was fired reportedly because I was not a good fit there.

Looking for another job, I found an ad where they were looking for a person to deliver food by a moped at a restaurant in the center of Cracow. I went through the interview wearing short and with no CV. I was accepted and a few days later I was driving a moped getting to know Cracow and handing around Florianska Street and my restaurant. I have met a lot of interesting people with whom I have a very good contact to until today.

2014 and how did I become a waiter?

After a very pleasant summer season and knowing the Cracow topography, I was offered the opportunity to work as a waiter in the same restaurant. I was a little bit frightened by this fact, because it involved learning loads of new things and extending my comfort zone significantly. The beginnings were challenging and stressful. Serving people from all over the world in the restaurant in the center of Cracow was a challenge for me. I had to learn how to carry a tray, polish my English, learn the customs of people from all over the world, and face the quintessence of life, which is undoubtedly working in the food industry.

I made a lot of mistakes from the very beginning. I spilled drinks on people, I dropped food, I made mistakes with regard to payments and bills. Overall, it was hard and interesting at the same time, and I learned a lot of new things every day. To be honest, nothing better could have happened to me at the time than such a kick-in-the-ass forcing me to survive. Living alone in a foreign city did not allow me to give up easily, because I needed money to pays bills and make a living. On top of that, there was a fight with my chef, who wanted to get rid of me and kept telling me that I was all thumbs. I decided not to give up and not to let it go. I had let it go too many times and I had lost too much with this approach.

After a few months, I started to feel more confident and, over time, it was more and more pleasurable to work as a waiter. Winter slowly ended, and I started to pick up the crop of not giving up. I met many interesting people at work. Outside the work, I went to parties and met with different people. I spent a lot of time with Marcin, whom I met in the restaurant. We worked a lot together in the restaurant, and we met often outside of work. Summer soon arrived and we went on extraordinary vacation to Mielno and the Woodstock Festival 2014. It was a great time, and at the festival I met my then girlfriend and other people.

I did not know anyone in Krakow a few months earlier and I did not even have any work. However, being forced to act and to go out has completely changed my life. This was the beginning of great change and future successes.

Working as a waiter in Cracow — what was the result?

I have worked as a waiter for three years and this was a very interesting period in my life. At first I couldn’t do anything and many people tried to bring me down, but I didn’t give up. The brave chef left my restaurant over time, and I learned new things every day, grew as a person, read a lot of books and became interested in online business. After three years, I became the manager of this restaurant and thanks to my work the restaurant improved very much.

A few years back, when I started as a moped driver, I wouldn’t even think I could be a waiter and a manager. As it turned out later, I was not only able to do it, but I could do it very well. If you’re reading this article and think you’re unable to do something and you might be afraid of something, remember you can do it. Nothing happens immediately and easily. You often have to fight for yourself and not give up. There will always be people who want to break you. Things that today seem difficult and impossible to do in a few years can be a reality. Remember, you have to set goals, motivate yourself and break through your comfort zone every day.

00:00:01,350 –> 00:00:01,740
Hi!

2
00:00:01,740 –> 00:00:02,445
It’s Tomek.

3
00:00:02,512 –> 00:00:04,232
From Waiter To Millionaire.

4
00:00:04,299 –> 00:00:09,270
Hello to you from beautiful Cracow,
all smoggy and wintry,

5
00:00:09,270 –> 00:00:11,449
and not necessarily the prettiest.

6
00:00:12,000 –> 00:00:18,092
Maybe as a youtuber I should record
from some beautiful country,

7
00:00:18,193 –> 00:00:22,080
expensive car or apartment, or
at least, from a studio.

8
00:00:23,010 –> 00:00:29,030
Unfortunately, the reality is that
I am recording for you from wintry Cracow.

9
00:00:29,040 –> 00:00:32,627
I’m standing a little bit in the mud,
but that’s life.

10
00:00:32,629 –> 00:00:36,970
Sometimes you have to
get dirty and work hard to succeed.

11
00:00:37,209 –> 00:00:42,124
In today’s film, I will tell
you how I became a waiter.

12
00:00:42,665 –> 00:00:45,442
You will learn cool stories about me.

13
00:00:45,543 –> 00:00:47,404
Very motivating.

14
00:00:47,404 –> 00:00:49,565
Stay and listen
to the end.

15
00:00:50,345 –> 00:00:51,695
You won’t regret it.

16
00:00:52,827 –> 00:00:56,571
I will show you here
the surroundings of the Krakus Mound.

17
00:00:56,638 –> 00:00:58,021
With a view of Cracow.

18
00:01:00,516 –> 00:01:03,012
How I became a waiter in Cracow.

19
00:01:03,113 –> 00:01:04,732
Because here I moved.

20
00:01:05,238 –> 00:01:07,160
Now, I am 32 years old.

21
00:01:07,564 –> 00:01:12,994
My adventure began
at the turn of 2012 and 2013.

22
00:01:14,512 –> 00:01:17,243
Then, I was about 27 years old.

23
00:01:17,513 –> 00:01:22,335
Yes, I was 27 years old,
and I felt terribly down.

24
00:01:22,403 –> 00:01:24,865
I was in a great life hole.

25
00:01:24,898 –> 00:01:30,496
I graduated from the university, I worked for several years, I had a business,

26
00:01:30,564 –> 00:01:35,319
I was filming weddings. And I was
in a big life hole.

27
00:01:35,353 –> 00:01:37,072
I didn’t know what to do.

28
00:01:37,140 –> 00:01:41,389
I was not very successful
and many people left me.

29
00:01:41,456 –> 00:01:45,368
Many people wrote me off, including
the closest ones,

30
00:01:45,470 –> 00:01:46,920
but it was my fault.

31
00:01:46,987 –> 00:01:49,381
I didn’t know what to do with myself.

32
00:01:49,415 –> 00:01:51,101
I was in total depression.

33
00:01:51,169 –> 00:01:54,642
It was 2012, I was sitting
at home, I was not working.

34
00:01:54,744 –> 00:01:57,273
It was very bad with me for a long time.

35
00:01:57,340 –> 00:01:58,554
I met a specialist.

36
00:01:58,655 –> 00:02:02,365
Even there soon
I wasn’t welcome. They had no funds.

37
00:02:02,432 –> 00:02:05,670
They threw me out, and it was bad.

38
00:02:05,737 –> 00:02:11,774
My then finance had enough too
after many years and she went abroad.

39
00:02:11,841 –> 00:02:13,730
I’m not surprised at all.

40
00:02:13,797 –> 00:02:15,652
I also had enough of myself.

41
00:02:15,753 –> 00:02:17,810
Although, then it was terrible.

42
00:02:18,080 –> 00:02:24,117
I was alone, I didn’t know
what to do, it was winter, and it was bad.

43
00:02:24,218 –> 00:02:27,084
But being alone, I started thinking a lot.

44
00:02:27,152 –> 00:02:32,379
I listened to the first book
about, say, personal development.

45
00:02:32,480 –> 00:02:36,324
I don’t remember exactly,
but it was a book about

46
00:02:36,426 –> 00:02:40,540
a boy, about a person who did not
know what to do in his life.

47
00:02:40,641 –> 00:02:45,497
He met a millionaire
who loved roses.

48
00:02:45,598 –> 00:02:48,735
He was taking care of roses in the garden.

49
00:02:48,802 –> 00:02:53,591
He was very wealthy and advised this
person what to do in life

50
00:02:53,658 –> 00:02:57,031
to run a business and gave
various motivational tips.

51
00:02:57,435 –> 00:03:01,583
It was a fictional book,
but it motivated me very well.

52
00:03:01,651 –> 00:03:03,472
I was after an eye surgery.

53
00:03:03,539 –> 00:03:07,620
For a few weeks, I couldn’t even
read, but it was an audiobook.

54
00:03:07,687 –> 00:03:10,183
I was listening and got very motivated.

55
00:03:10,216 –> 00:03:13,386
Then, I wrote my first goals
to move to Cracow.

56
00:03:13,488 –> 00:03:18,647
It was in Oświęcim, where I lived then,
and I decided to Move to Cracow.

57
00:03:18,715 –> 00:03:25,021
I had quite specific goals
because I wanted to become a musician.

58
00:03:25,122 –> 00:03:28,794
I was in the hole,
so I decided

59
00:03:28,794 –> 00:03:31,665
to leave to Cracow and become a musician.

60
00:03:32,305 –> 00:03:36,352
A few months later
the new year, 2013 began,

61
00:03:36,487 –> 00:03:39,994
And I tried to get a job
in Cracow to move there,

62
00:03:40,095 –> 00:03:43,872
to get out of my house, because
I was in such a hole

63
00:03:44,041 –> 00:03:46,638
I didn’t know what was happening to me.

64
00:03:46,705 –> 00:03:48,594
And I found a job in Cracow.

65
00:03:48,695 –> 00:03:52,910
It was work in a warehouse,
stocking second-hand clothes.

66
00:03:53,011 –> 00:03:56,148
Hard physical work,
poorly paid, but I thought

67
00:03:56,215 –> 00:03:59,351
I will move out and just see what will happen.

68
00:03:59,385 –> 00:04:01,307
I could not take it anymore.

69
00:04:01,375 –> 00:04:03,061
I moved.

70
00:04:03,162 –> 00:04:04,747
I rented an apartment.

71
00:04:04,848 –> 00:04:07,816
Its cost was virtually
the same as my salary.

72
00:04:07,884 –> 00:04:08,828
But whatever.

73
00:04:08,929 –> 00:04:11,661
I decided to
move and see what’s next.

74
00:04:11,829 –> 00:04:18,237
This is how I got the job as a warehouse worker
in a little shabby company near Cracow.

75
00:04:18,304 –> 00:04:21,710
I rented a shitty apartment
above the warehouse.

76
00:04:21,811 –> 00:04:23,565
With a hole in the door.

77
00:04:23,599 –> 00:04:26,229
But I knew it was only for a start.

78
00:04:26,330 –> 00:04:28,320
It wasn’t easy.

79
00:04:28,387 –> 00:04:31,793
After few days
in the first job they fired me.

80
00:04:32,131 –> 00:04:37,189
I was left without a job, with
a rented apartment in an unfamiliar city.

81
00:04:37,223 –> 00:04:39,280
I did not know a single person.

82
00:04:39,381 –> 00:04:41,405
And it was terrible.

83
00:04:42,753 –> 00:04:46,362
I remember lying down.
I felt very bad again.

84
00:04:46,632 –> 00:04:50,139
But I decided not to give up.

85
00:04:50,240 –> 00:04:52,972
Once again, I tried to come back there.

86
00:04:53,174 –> 00:04:54,287
They accepted me.

87
00:04:54,354 –> 00:04:56,041
I worked for a few months.

88
00:04:56,108 –> 00:05:02,010
It was very hard for me,
my hands were destroyed.

89
00:05:02,077 –> 00:05:04,573
But I did not give up.

90
00:05:04,640 –> 00:05:06,360
Then came spring 2013.

91
00:05:06,461 –> 00:05:08,923
The owner of the factory called me.

92
00:05:09,024 –> 00:05:11,250
He said I’m not good for anything.

93
00:05:11,317 –> 00:05:12,194
I suck.

94
00:05:12,261 –> 00:05:15,566
You are working until
the weekend and cope with it.

95
00:05:15,634 –> 00:05:17,118
I was really sorry.

96
00:05:17,219 –> 00:05:21,637
Once again, alone in Cracow
with a rented apartment.

97
00:05:21,771 –> 00:05:24,233
I didn’t know anyone again.

98
00:05:24,334 –> 00:05:26,021
But at least it was spring.

99
00:05:26,088 –> 00:05:31,147
After looking for a job,
trying to work here and there,

100
00:05:31,214 –> 00:05:33,305
where I couldn’t fit in at all,

101
00:05:33,406 –> 00:05:35,935
I saw an ad for a moped in a restaurant.

102
00:05:36,610 –> 00:05:41,196
This job was below any
qualification of anyone,

103
00:05:41,297 –> 00:05:45,715
but I thought to give it a try,
to make an attempt to work anywhere.

104
00:05:45,816 –> 00:05:47,975
I wanted to see what will happen.

105
00:05:48,076 –> 00:05:50,234
It was bad, so nothing to lose.

106
00:05:50,335 –> 00:05:53,100
I decided I had
nothing to lose in my life.

107
00:05:53,202 –> 00:05:59,137
And I will just work somewhere where
I can, and my life will take off.

108
00:05:59,238 –> 00:06:05,308
I got a job in a restaurant in the center of
Cracow looking for a moped driver.

109
00:06:08,107 –> 00:06:12,829
I remember until today when I entered
this restaurant wearing shorts.

110
00:06:12,930 –> 00:06:14,987
Without a CV, without anything.

111
00:06:15,223 –> 00:06:16,808
I said I don’t have a CV.

112
00:06:16,909 –> 00:06:18,865
But I asked for the manager.

113
00:06:18,933 –> 00:06:24,295
After a short conversation, he told me
I was concrete and I got that job.

114
00:06:24,396 –> 00:06:26,116
I started a few days later.

115
00:06:26,149 –> 00:06:28,004
The new scooter was waiting.

116
00:06:28,072 –> 00:06:31,714
And this was how I revived
for the whole summer of 2013.

117
00:06:31,781 –> 00:06:35,423
I got a job in a nice
restaurant with great people.

118
00:06:35,491 –> 00:06:39,706
I met great people
NI really like to this day.

119
00:06:43,551 –> 00:06:45,608
And it was a great summer.

120
00:06:45,675 –> 00:06:48,913
For the first time in many
years I felt alive.

121
00:06:49,014 –> 00:06:51,880
I got to knew entire Cracow,
riding a moped.

122
00:06:51,948 –> 00:06:53,364
I did not drive much.

123
00:06:53,465 –> 00:06:57,276
More I sat in the
restaurant and on Floriańska Street.

124
00:06:57,344 –> 00:06:58,187
It was great.

125
00:06:58,254 –> 00:07:00,851
I didn’t earn much,
but I felt free.

126
00:07:00,986 –> 00:07:02,672
I finally met people.

127
00:07:02,739 –> 00:07:04,493
I met a girl.

128
00:07:04,594 –> 00:07:07,461
It was really cool.

129
00:07:07,562 –> 00:07:10,327
In the meantime,
I even played in the band.

130
00:07:10,428 –> 00:07:13,531
It was my plan and
it was also a success for me.

131
00:07:13,632 –> 00:07:15,554
Nothing came out of it later.

132
00:07:15,655 –> 00:07:16,869
But, I met my goal.

133
00:07:16,971 –> 00:07:18,252
I moved to Krakow.

134
00:07:18,353 –> 00:07:20,377
I played in a music band.

135
00:07:20,444 –> 00:07:22,468
And I worked as a moped driver.

136
00:07:22,535 –> 00:07:24,187
However, the autumn came.

137
00:07:24,289 –> 00:07:27,290
You know mopeds aren’t useful in winter.

138
00:07:27,762 –> 00:07:28,976
No one drives them.

139
00:07:29,111 –> 00:07:29,920
Me neither.

140
00:07:30,190 –> 00:07:35,451
And I was offered a job
in the same restaurant as a waiter.

141
00:07:35,552 –> 00:07:39,599
I was damn terrified because
before moving out to Cracow,

142
00:07:39,666 –> 00:07:42,769
I had thought about
finding a job as a waiter.

143
00:07:42,904 –> 00:07:47,153
But my comfort zone, my
self-confidence was so low that the idea

144
00:07:47,220 –> 00:07:52,717
I could work as a waiter
in Cracow was unimaginable.

145
00:07:52,819 –> 00:07:58,653
And I was just damn afraid of it.

146
00:07:58,720 –> 00:08:01,991
The very thought to work in
Cracow as a waiter

147
00:08:02,059 –> 00:08:03,644
was unthinkable to me.

148
00:08:03,914 –> 00:08:08,601
Therefore, when they offered me
this job I was terribly afraid.

149
00:08:08,635 –> 00:08:11,164
But I started working as a waiter.

150
00:08:11,232 –> 00:08:16,223
Autumn came and I started
my first life lessons, actually next ones.

151
00:08:16,290 –> 00:08:19,325
And the beginnings were very difficult.

152
00:08:19,696 –> 00:08:24,923
From a person who was good for nothing
in life, the transition to a waiter

153
00:08:25,024 –> 00:08:30,015
in a pretty cool Cracow restaurant,
and I had contact with people from there,

154
00:08:30,083 –> 00:08:32,039
it was damn difficult for me.

155
00:08:32,140 –> 00:08:38,008
I had a lot of skirmishes
and fights with the kitchen ahead of me.

156
00:08:38,075 –> 00:08:41,650
I remember until today
the cooks in this restaurant said

157
00:08:41,819 –> 00:08:47,080
I was good for nothing, I sucked,
I should have get out of there.

158
00:08:49,744 –> 00:08:52,475
And I had to fight for my life with myself.

159
00:08:52,543 –> 00:08:54,768
I decided that I would not let go,

160
00:08:54,870 –> 00:08:57,331
as I always had in such situations.

161
00:08:57,399 –> 00:09:00,872
When someone was breaking my balls,
I always let go.

162
00:09:00,940 –> 00:09:04,616
I decided that
I would fight and I would not give up.

163
00:09:04,683 –> 00:09:05,290
I fought.

164
00:09:05,729 –> 00:09:08,494
They were saying: “either we or you.”

165
00:09:08,595 –> 00:09:10,315
But I coped with it.

166
00:09:11,934 –> 00:09:14,362
And months passed one after another.

167
00:09:14,463 –> 00:09:16,115
I was working as a waiter.

168
00:09:16,217 –> 00:09:21,444
I acquired my first skills,
because it was damn hard work.

169
00:09:21,545 –> 00:09:24,715
This is a damn hard
job, you have to admit it.

170
00:09:24,850 –> 00:09:29,301
And the beginnings were very difficult.

171
00:09:29,402 –> 00:09:32,235
Work, serving people from all over the world.

172
00:09:32,336 –> 00:09:33,550
A thousand details.

173
00:09:33,618 –> 00:09:34,866
Linguistic skills.

174
00:09:34,967 –> 00:09:38,845
Learning habits,
how to serve people

175
00:09:38,980 –> 00:09:41,104
from all over the world.

176
00:09:41,172 –> 00:09:45,387
A restaurant in the center,
with guests from all over the world.

177
00:09:45,455 –> 00:09:47,343
A difficult experience for me.

178
00:09:47,411 –> 00:09:52,233
Half a year earlier or a year earlier,
I was at home with total depression.

179
00:09:52,267 –> 00:09:55,201
So it was an amazing experience for me,

180
00:09:55,268 –> 00:10:02,148
and a damn good experience,
because either I would die there

181
00:10:02,249 –> 00:10:05,959
or I had to make it and survive.

182
00:10:06,026 –> 00:10:07,139
And I survived.

183
00:10:07,240 –> 00:10:09,162
The first few months passed.

184
00:10:09,263 –> 00:10:10,882
There were incidents.

185
00:10:10,983 –> 00:10:12,096
Food was falling.

186
00:10:12,197 –> 00:10:14,322
Many times I had enough.

187
00:10:14,457 –> 00:10:16,210
I had dreams about work.

188
00:10:17,458 –> 00:10:21,572
Dreams that I sleep in the
restaurant I work in.

189
00:10:21,674 –> 00:10:22,888
I had nightmares.

190
00:10:22,989 –> 00:10:28,081
It really took me a good few months,
half a year to get used to it.

191
00:10:28,182 –> 00:10:29,295
More or less.

192
00:10:29,396 –> 00:10:32,195
The real adoption
came after two years,

193
00:10:32,297 –> 00:10:34,219
I would say, or after a year.

194
00:10:34,320 –> 00:10:37,524
It takes a long time to
learn something.

195
00:10:37,659 –> 00:10:41,098
It is not that after
a month you know everything.

196
00:10:41,402 –> 00:10:44,235
This also applies to all spheres of life.

197
00:10:45,651 –> 00:10:47,843
I met great people there.

198
00:10:47,944 –> 00:10:52,025
Then summer came,
after winter, more leisure.

199
00:10:52,126 –> 00:10:56,274
I met great people in this job I know until today.

200
00:10:56,409 –> 00:10:59,478
Greetings Marcin, I hope you’re watching this.

201
00:11:00,017 –> 00:11:04,165
And the next summer I also spent on work,
on a very pleasant work

202
00:11:04,266 –> 00:11:07,639
with wonderful people,
there was even was a getaway

203
00:11:08,178 –> 00:11:12,899
to the Polish sea, with people I met
at work, a trip to Woodstock.

204
00:11:13,270 –> 00:11:18,430
Then I met my then girlfriend,
with whom we spent cool moments,

205
00:11:18,565 –> 00:11:20,656
working, of course, all the time.

206
00:11:20,791 –> 00:11:23,286
And I really did revived then.

207
00:11:23,421 –> 00:11:25,478
I lived an interesting life.

208
00:11:25,613 –> 00:11:27,839
It was be a big challenge for me.

209
00:11:28,008 –> 00:11:32,729
I had the opportunity to travel,
to see things, to have fun.

210
00:11:35,730 –> 00:11:40,856
And in this way, as a waiter,
I had been working,

211
00:11:40,856 –> 00:11:45,645
I don’t want to lie to you, three years, until 2016.

212
00:11:48,309 –> 00:11:51,783
To October, I started in 2013.

213
00:11:51,917 –> 00:11:53,637
It’s about three years.

214
00:11:53,772 –> 00:11:57,010
Perhaps exactly 3 years.
I started from October.

215
00:11:57,178 –> 00:12:00,719
These years really
taught me a lot, to be with people.

216
00:12:00,820 –> 00:12:02,237
How to deal with life.

217
00:12:02,304 –> 00:12:03,350
Just like that.

218
00:12:03,451 –> 00:12:11,241
How to get out of this mess
in the restaurant, with 15 or 10 tables,

219
00:12:11,376 –> 00:12:15,423
With people coming and going,
mixed-up food.

220
00:12:15,558 –> 00:12:17,581
Out-of-service equipment.

221
00:12:17,615 –> 00:12:21,088
The computer was on the blink,
the AC out of order.

222
00:12:21,223 –> 00:12:24,461
I was confronted there
with everything I could,

223
00:12:24,730 –> 00:12:26,450
and it taught me life.

224
00:12:26,450 –> 00:12:29,688
I often cursed, but
I am damn grateful.

225
00:12:29,823 –> 00:12:33,802
If you’re young and can work as a waiter,

226
00:12:33,869 –> 00:12:37,882
work for a year, two, three and
you will meet wonderful people.

227
00:12:38,017 –> 00:12:42,705
Certainly, there are cool places where
you can work in the food industry.

228
00:12:43,042 –> 00:12:48,640
And I am damn glad I had this
time that I experienced then.

229
00:12:48,741 –> 00:12:53,766
I am grateful that then, as
I moved from Oświęcim to Cracow,

230
00:12:53,867 –> 00:13:00,039
when I was very afraid, that I endured
this fear, that I went forward.

231
00:13:00,140 –> 00:13:03,411
Thank you to all those
who gave me up.

232
00:13:03,479 –> 00:13:09,717
Thank you to those who
fired me and said I sucked.

233
00:13:09,717 –> 00:13:10,560
Thank you.

234
00:13:10,864 –> 00:13:15,349
Thank you to even the cooks who
claimed that I am good for nothing.

235
00:13:15,450 –> 00:13:18,013
And said: “either we or you”. It was me.

236
00:13:18,081 –> 00:13:19,362
That’s how it ended.

237
00:13:19,463 –> 00:13:25,534
I really thank them for all these difficult
moments, because they have strengthened me so much.

238
00:13:25,669 –> 00:13:30,558
And also being a waiter, I became interested in
making money on the Internet.

239
00:13:30,660 –> 00:13:33,627
My collegues also were digging in this topic.

240
00:13:33,762 –> 00:13:36,865
And recommended me some channels on youtube, etc.

241
00:13:36,966 –> 00:13:41,013
In the meantime, as I started
my own adventure with Cracow,

242
00:13:41,181 –> 00:13:45,228
I did nothing,
I worked as a waiter, I read many great books.

243
00:13:45,296 –> 00:13:48,162
The first one was Schwarzenneger’s biography,

244
00:13:48,331 –> 00:13:50,421
which changed my thinking a bit.

245
00:13:50,523 –> 00:13:53,389
I didn’t start to do something right away,

246
00:13:53,389 –> 00:13:55,379
but slowly my thinking changed.

247
00:13:55,514 –> 00:13:59,662
I noticed that if I was able
to get my life out of this mess

248
00:13:59,763 –> 00:14:02,562
I have the power to slowly move forward.

249
00:14:02,663 –> 00:14:05,293
Not so fast maybe, one step at a time.

250
00:14:05,664 –> 00:14:07,249
So it was a great time.

251
00:14:10,419 –> 00:14:13,994
After 3 years, I became
the manager of the restaurant,

252
00:14:13,994 –> 00:14:18,108
where I was a driver 3 years earlier.

253
00:14:18,142 –> 00:14:21,346
Where I entered
without a CV, in shorts.

254
00:14:21,481 –> 00:14:26,371
Where they said I was good for nothing,
I should get lost.

255
00:14:26,472 –> 00:14:29,136
I became the manager.

256
00:14:29,642 –> 00:14:36,386
And then I actually saved
this restaurant, and helped it a lot.

257
00:14:36,488 –> 00:14:37,601
I think so.

258
00:14:37,735 –> 00:14:41,310
Its bottom line was finally in the positive territory.

259
00:14:41,445 –> 00:14:42,726
I was very happy.

260
00:14:43,300 –> 00:14:48,291
So if they tell you you can’t do anything,
you won’t make it,

261
00:14:48,392 –> 00:14:49,910
do not worry.

262
00:14:50,213 –> 00:14:55,609
If they throw you away, give up on you,
it means this is not a place for you.

263
00:14:55,710 –> 00:14:58,846
And thank those people,
who say this to you.

264
00:14:58,947 –> 00:15:02,455
Follow your way, do not worry,
try endlessly,

265
00:15:02,590 –> 00:15:05,726
show others what you’ve got.

266
00:15:05,861 –> 00:15:09,537
And perhaps you will not attain it
in a month or a year.

267
00:15:09,671 –> 00:15:12,201
Sometimes it will take years before

268
00:15:12,201 –> 00:15:15,404
you show others
and yourselves your real worth.

269
00:15:15,506 –> 00:15:17,563
The same took me many years.

270
00:15:17,664 –> 00:15:20,497
Now, it is 5 years since
I moved to Cracow.

271
00:15:20,598 –> 00:15:23,262
All messed up with fear inside.

272
00:15:26,466 –> 00:15:30,276
A few years later,
I was the manager of this diner.

273
00:15:30,378 –> 00:15:33,076
So don’t be afraid of it,
go forward.

274
00:15:33,210 –> 00:15:35,638
I am now facing
another challenge.

275
00:15:35,908 –> 00:15:38,606
I’m creating a blog,
I work on Amazon.

276
00:15:38,707 –> 00:15:41,338
And again, I feel like I can’t do anything.

277
00:15:41,405 –> 00:15:44,710
But I will learn and I will make it.

278
00:15:44,811 –> 00:15:47,745
If you liked this video,
you want to know

279
00:15:47,846 –> 00:15:52,163
how my work in the
food industry looked like, contact me.

280
00:15:52,466 –> 00:15:53,748
I will reply.

281
00:15:53,849 –> 00:15:56,041
Or I will record
a video you want.

282
00:15:56,142 –> 00:16:00,189
I will really be very grateful for
any questions, interactions.

283
00:16:00,257 –> 00:16:02,482
I will be happy to help everyone.

284
00:16:02,583 –> 00:16:05,753
If you like it, please
give me a thumb up, share,

285
00:16:05,855 –> 00:16:10,812
like and subscribe to my
channel if you want to know more

286
00:16:10,913 –> 00:16:13,544
about working over the Internet, on Amazon.

287
00:16:13,645 –> 00:16:17,557
I will talk about gastronomy a little bit,
as well if you want.

288
00:16:17,658 –> 00:16:21,165
Let me know, subscribe and
thank you, see you soon.

289
00:16:21,233 –> 00:16:22,177
Bye.
